In their art exhibition titled "PAPEL," Paty Ramirez- Sanchez and Nacho Sanchez invite viewers to celebrate the versatility of a seemingly ordinary material: paper. As devoted art educators and parents, they draw inspiration from their own children's fascination with art and play, recognizing the inherent value of expression and exploration.

The exhibition space is warm and intimate, mirroring the artists' own art studio where their children gravitate towards a small desk equipped with markers and paper. The simple act of providing materials for creative expression serves as a grounding reminder of the times when art serves as a catalyst for boundless imagination.

Nacho's works challenge traditional notions of paper as he delves into the origins and techniques of papermaking. He breathes new life into discarded newspapers and pulp, transforming them into intricate pieces. By giving paper a renewed purpose, Nacho pushes the boundaries of its possibilities and creates a whole new mode of expression that invites viewers to question their own preconceptions.

On the other hand, Paty's artistic practice revolves around portrait photography, skillfully using lighting and depth-of-field effects to create captivating moods within her images. Her portraits transcend the two-dimensional realm, as she intricately elaborates on the individuals and objects she captures, infusing them with a sense of wonder and sainthood. Through her lens, Paty immortalizes moments that are both deeply personal and universally sacred, prompting viewers to contemplate the hidden narratives within each frame.

Within the exhibition space, a harmonious dialogue emerges between Paty and Nacho's works, as they explore texture, color, tradition, and innovation. By blending their unique artistic perspectives, Paty and Nacho invite viewers to appreciate the profound beauty and expressive potential inherent in the simplest of materials and moments.
